AP1's new emerging market manager Aberdeen sheds light on strategy

When the Swedish buffer fund recently picked 14 managers to run a multi-billion euro emerging market mandate, Aberdeen Standard Investments was on top of the list. Head of emerging markets Devan Kaloo recently visited AMWatch to elaborate on his strategy and the importance of monitoring money flows.

Recently, Sweden's AP1 selected managers to run a EUR 4.3bn global emerging markets mandate.

One of these 14 firms was Aberdeen Standard Investments, which manages several billions in institutional and wholesale money in its emerging markets strategy on behalf Nordic investors that seek actively-managed exposure to emerging economies' equity markets
