McKinsey recommends new investment rules for AP funds

Sweden's regulations for AP funds should keep up with the times, according to a report by consultancy group McKinsey, recommending further modernization of the fund's investment rules.

Sweden’s six AP funds (AP1-4, AP6 and AP7) should be allowed to make direct and co-investments, writes financial media IPE.

This recommendation stems from consultancy group McKinsey, which recommends further "modernization" of the funds' investment regulations. The report, commissioned by the Swedish government, refers to new rules effective for AP1-4 from early 2019 and argued that the updating exercise should continue.
