Tobacco-Free Finance Pledge gets the first two Finnish signatories

Varma and S-Bank sign a pledge to encourage transition towards tobacco-free finance policies.

The number of signatories to Tobacco-Free Finance Pledge reached 107 last week when two Finnish institutional signed the initiative. S-Bank and mutual pension insurance company Varma are the first two Finnish institutional investors to back the pledge launched in September 2018.

Dr Rachel Melsom, director of Tobacco Free Portfolios, UK and Europe, notes that the signatories' assets under management now exceed EUR 8,360bn.
