Does ESG rhyme with ETF? Many European investors think so

European institutions' allocations to exchange-traded funds soared by 50 percent in 2018, a new study finds. Almost half of the study participants use passive products as one of their main vehicles for addressing ESG issues.

US-based BlackRock has sponsered the study by Greenwich Associates.

More and more European institutions are integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards into their investment process -- and many of them use exchange traded funds (ETFs) as their vehicle of choice for ESG exposure.
