Finnish pension insurance company Varma's investments pulled in a return of 13.5 percent, totaling EUR 6.7bn, over the first three quarters of this year, the company reports.
So far, the return is the highest among the Finnish pensions insurers that have reported their results for the first three quarters of the year. Varma's main competitor and Finland's largest mutual pension insurance company, EUR 58.4bn Ilmarinen, announced a return of 10.5 percent yesterday.
