Swedish investor completes its Finnish healthcare property portfolio

Demand for retirement homes in Finland, and the rest of the Nordic region, is rising in line with the growing share of elderly people in the population, says Hemfosa's Head of Transactions.

Swedish property investor Hemfosa has acquired eleven healthcare properties in Finland and two properties in Borås, Sweden for a total price of approximately EUR 61m.

The acquisition marks an important step into the retirement home segment in Finland, where demand, similarly to within the rest of the Nordic region, is rising in line with the growing share of elderly people in the population, says Anna Alsborger, Head of Transactions at Hemfosa in a statement.
