US-based RE investor on spending spree "We suck everything that fits into our portfolio"

Since its first transaction in Denmark, US-based real estate investor W.P. Carey has proclaimed that it is looking for more Danish assets in order to get the same strong foothold as the RE investor has in Norway.

If US-based real estate investors W.P. Carey is to get the same strong foothold in Denmark as it has in Norway, investments of over USD 152m over the next year are just around the corner, says Arvi Luoma, head of European investments at W.P. Carey when EjendomsWatch -- AMWatch's sister site -- met him at the annual MIPIM fair.

"When we entered the Norwegian market, we kicked it off with one transaction. We ended up investing USD 400m in 18 months, and we would like the same to happen in Denmark. Meanwhile, we're driven by what's available, so we keep our eyes open," he tells EjendomsWatch.
