CIO calls for gender equality in Danish corporate board rooms

The chief investment officer at Denmark's MP Pension is speaking out about certain aspects of the debate on women directors. Danish listed companies have considerably fewer women directors compared to the rest of the Nordics.

MP Pension is speaking out loudly in the media and at board meetings on the topic of gender equality and quotas in corporate board rooms, says Anders Schelde, CIO at the pension fund, in an interview with AMWatch's siter site FinansWatch.

When directors are elected to the board, the appointment is biased, he says, which makes it difficult for women to break through the glass ceiling.
