ESG -- short for Environmental, Social and Governance -- is an acronym flying around the financial industry right now at a speed to make heads spin. In the last few years, most emphasis has been put on the "Environmental" part of the idea, because of the urgency felt internationally about the need to mitigate climate change.
"But when the environment is fixed, we still have a whole range of social challenges in our world that we still have to take on and do something about. And this is where social bond funds come in," Simon Bond, director of responsible investment portfolio management at Columbia Threadneedle Investments tells AMWatch at the Nordic Investment Forum 2018 in Copenhagen.
