Large pension fund loses ESG chief

One of the most distinctive voices on sustainability in the Danish pension fund business has decided to resign from his job as Head of Responsible Investments, and has decided to move on to venture capital and impact investing - standing on his own two feet.

Glancing at Pelle Pedersen's resume, there is a clash that stands out. He has a Masters degree in Law from the University of Copenhagen but also spent a year volunteering at Social Foodies, a food business running development projects in Africa, and at Dansic, a student organization geared towards social innovation in Denmark.

And now he is doing it again -- taking an unusual path by quitting a job that others would hang on to.
