Chief strategist at odds with investors: Growth will continue

International asset managers are doubting that global growth will remain on track, and believe the faltering of economic expansion could then lead to more challenging investment markets. Wrong, says Nordea’s Chief Strategist Phillip Jagd.

A monthly survey put together by Bank of America Merrill Lynch shows only five percent of participating asset managers expecting improved global growth. Bank in January, that figure was at 47 percent.

Pointing to this latest poll, Phillip Jagd, Chief Strategist at Nordea, says investors’ doubt is a result of the most recent bout of market anxiety — as well as being prompted by the underperformance of first quarter corporate results in the US.
