ATP has an important voice in the Danish business community, as the owner of significant stakes in several of the Denmark’s largest companies. Claus Wiinblad, Senior Vice President and Head of Equities at the giant pension fund, tells Danish financial news service Finans he thinks ATP should use its voice even more than it currently does.
ATP may intensify its focus on the way companies' boards of directors conduct evaluations, Wiinblad says. The pension fund would prefer to keep its critique away from the arena of AGMs, he says — but for that to happen, boards of directors would have to actually take action to address certain issues.
