Nordea Markets demands individual skills audits from staff amid job cuts

Against the background of Nordea having announced plans to axe 6,000 jobs, the unit Nordea Markets is now requiring its employees to list their competencies, job plans and existing work functions. But the group insists the exercise is not part of its efforts to reduce staff numbers.

Nordea has said it wants to eliminate at least 4,000 staff and 2,000 consultants.

At the same time, the Nordic group has confirmed to AMWatch, that all 1,000 employees at Nordea Markets have now been asked to list their skills, job functions and future job wishes.
