AP1 seeds new emerging markets fund

Swedish state buffer fund AP1 seeds another fund from the emerging market investment company Somerset. The new fund will invest in medium-sized businesses.

Första AP-fonden AP1 is seeding the Somerset Emerging Markets Future Leaders UCITS Fund with USD 350m (EUR295m).

The two parties have been working together since 2013, and in 2018, AP1 was also the seed investor of the USD 60m (EUR 50.6m) Somerset Frontier Markets Fund.
