Effects from higher mortality among Alecta's members offset by falling interest rates

Positive returns in the second quarter were not enough to offset the losses after Q1 at Swedish pension fund Alecta. Due to covid-19, mortality rose leading to a decline in technical provisions. However, this was more than offset by the effect of falling interest rates.
