Two AP funds express doubt about plans to let AP7 invest in illiquid assets

Plans to let Swedish national pension fund AP7 invest in illiquid assets have been  met with skepticism from AP1 and AP6.

Suggestions to allow the largest Swedish national pension fund, AP7, to invest heavily in illiquid assets have not been met with enthusiasm from two of other national pension funds, AP1 and AP6, Ipe.com writes.

The AP7 fund is the only one of Sweden's national pension funds that  operates in the defined contribution part of the state pension – the premium pension system. It offers the Såfa product, a balanced product for savers who don't actively invest their savings in the private funds available on the fund platform Fondtorget.
