Alecta sets up real estate subsidiary to manage domestic properties

Sweden's biggest pension fund lets new subsidiary manage domestic real estate investments and hires CEO of ICA Real Estate to front the spinoff.

In order to boost scalability and minimize fees, Sweden's biggest pension fund Alecta is setting up a separate company for its domestic property investments. Also, the new company will later bring some of Alecta's outsourced property management back in-house, reports investors' newssite Ipe.com.

The new subsidiary will be headed by Lena Boberg, currently chief executive officer of the Swedish real estate company ICA Fastigheter.
