Pension savers are potentially let down when transferring retirement plans

As the share of alternative investments in pension portfolios increases, savers risk incorrect valuation of their savings when moving from one pension fund to another.

Pension savers leaving their pension company risk being taken for a ride, or letting down other savers in the company they are leaving, Danish business website writes.

The reason behind this increased risk is pension companies' growing share of investments in alternative investment assets, such as wind farms, unlisted companies, and real estate.
