Danske Bank: Private equity to keep beating quoted shares

Danske Bank Wealth Management sees private equity continuing to outperform listed equities. But the way it achieves those extra returns in the asset class may change, according to the bank unit's equities and alternatives chief.

Investments in private equity have outperformed the listed equities market in the past – and that is not likely to change, says Jesper Langmack, Chief Investment Officer Equities and Alternatives at Danica Pension and Danske Bank Wealth Management.

By private equity, he means investments in capital funds and direct investments in unlisted companies.
