CIP secures financing for Taiwanese offshore wind farm

With the support of 20 banks, the Danish infrastructure fund manager and its partner, China Steel Corporation, have secured credit of USD 1.6bn to fund development of the Zhong Neng wind farm.

Alongside project partner China Steel Corporation (CSC), Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners has signed a credit agreement with 20 banks in support of developing Taiwanese offshore wind project Zhong Neng.

"CIP is very pleased to have reached this important project milestone in close collaboration and partnership with our joint venture partner, CSC. We are excited about shortly entering the construction phase of Zhong Neng which will, once commercial operation starts, provide clean energy to approximately 300,000 households in Taiwan," writes CIP Partner Michael Hannibal in a press statement:
