Nordea Asset Management restructures, creates new alternative investment unit

The largest asset manager in the Nordics has picked an internal candidate as head of a new alternative investment unit. At the same time, three seasoned private equity professionals are leaving Nordea Asset Management.

Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is changing the structure of its alternative investments by creating a new single alternatives unit, according to a statement forwarded to AMWatch.

NAM's private equity team will become part of the new alternative investment unit. By doing this, NAM wants to strengthen its offering of illiquid investments.
