ATP eyes boom for social bond market after initial toe-dipping

ATP is one of the pension funds to have invested money in social bonds. Denmark's largest investor expects big growth in the market still characterized by some ambiguity.

2020 was the year when social bonds entered the portfolio of Danish state labor market pension fund ATP.

The fund placed EUR 95m in a single issuance from the EU's Support to mitigate Unemployment Risks in an Emergency (SURE) program, established to help mitigate socio-economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, including a rise in unemployment.
