CEO: Handelsbanken Fonder took 45 percent of Swedish market inflow

Handelsbanken Fonder has been gaining market shares over the past ten years. Last year was exceptional, CEO Magdalena Wahlqvist Alveskog tells AMWatch as the Nordic Swan Ecolabeled fund Handelsbanken Hållbar Energi attracted more than SEK 20bn in new net inflow.

Handelsbanken Fonder took a big chunk of the Swedish fund market in 2020, driven by the popular Nordic Swan Ecolabel fund, Handelsbanken Hållbar Energi, which attracted new money and yielded an impressive return.

"We have been taking market shares for the last ten years when we have taken about 25 percent of net inflows, while our total market share has been around 10-12 percent. Last year was exceptional, with 45 percent of the inflows in the Swedish market. Last year, the exception that brought us that extra-large amount was Handelsbanken Hållbar Energi," Magdalena Wahlqvist Alveskog, CEO at Handelsbanken Fonder, tells AMWatch.
