Major Norwegian private equity poised to venture a billion into oil and gas

While other funds move away from black energy, Hitecvision has raised more than USD 1 billion for new oil and gas investments.

Hitecvision – Norway's largest private equity firm – is ready to lay USD 1 billion into new oil and gas companies, reports domestic business daily Dagens Næringsliv (DN).

The company has declined to comment DN's information, but the media also writes that Hitiecvision is the only private equity firm in the world to have attracted capital for oil and gas in recent times. The fund has mainly raised money from US investors.
