Crowdfunding to draw young investors to private equity fund

Is it possible to crowdfund real estate? Private equity fund Difko is trying to find out. The firm's CEO is reinventing investment sources with the aim of reeling in young investors. Regulatory approval is pending.

The private equity fund Difko is on the brink of some big, innovative changes.

As EjendomsWatch wrote last week, the newly-hired CEO Niels Jørgen Pedersen is set to lead the 42-year-old fund in a new direction. Not only will the fund make more sustainable investments in solar cells and wind turbines, but the team also believes customers should have a say in their investments – which could be achieved through crowdfunding.
