Bankinvest worth far more than owners calculate with new model

Managing banking clients and institutional investors is a lucrative business. That is why the owners of Bankinvest have substantially written up the asset manager's value. However, the new valuation is probably too low.

On Wednesday morning, several publicly traded banks issued a wave of positive statements about earning far more in 2018 than had been expected at the beginning of the year.

The reason behind this was that the board of the Danish asset manager Bankinvest has decided to write-up the value of the company's equity shares, which are owned by 39 banks that also distribute Bankinvest's investment products.
