Storebrand feels well prepared for EU Taxonomy to enter force

Norway's largest asset manager welcomes the EU's new sustainability regulation, even though some of Storebrand's classifications on sustainability go further than the forthcoming EU Taxonomy. Storebrand AM doesn't plan to slacken its standards, though, says CEO Jan Erik Saugestad.

Storebrand Asset Management is positive about the work the EU is doing to foster sustainable development. However, the NOK 962bn (EUR 95.5bn) Norweigan asset manager does not want to scrap its own sustainability classifications that have been developed over time

The SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation) came into effect today, and the EU Taxonomy is currently delayed until April at the earliest.
