Taaleri and Masdar launch wind and solar energy joint venture

Finnish renewables firm links up with Abu Dhabi energy company and targets projects in Central and Eastern Europe.

Taaleri Energia, a Finnish wind and solar developer and fund manager, and Masdar, the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, are launching a joint venture focusing on renewable energy projects in Central and Eastern Europe.

The new joint venture aims to build upon Taaleri’s ongoing activities in the Western Balkans by developing onshore wind and solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, the two firms state. Taaleri and Masdar have a track record of cooperation from Serbia and Jordan. Taaleri Energia SolarWind I fund has invested alongside Masdar in a wind farm in Serbia, Čibuk 1, and in the Baynouna Solar Energy Company, which is constructing a solar PV plant in Jordan.
