Despite Trump, US honors two-thirds of Paris pledges, says climate report

Despite the incumbent president's desire to withdraw from the Paris Agreement, the US is still only behind on a third of the commitments it made to the climate-change combatting international treaty under President Barack Obama, according to a new report.

The US has already achieved two-thirds of its commitment to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions -- an obligation entered into by the country during the term of President Barack Obama in the form of the Paris Agreement.

The scale of achievement is revealed in a new report titled "Fulfilling America's Pledge" financed by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
