EU Commission unveils action plan to support sustainable investments

EU Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis has unveiled the strategy for the European financial system to support sustainable investments. But critics say the plan lacks concrete initiatives.

"To make it short: Green is the new black."

This is how Valdis Dombrovskis summed up the situation on Thursday when presenting the EU Commission's strategy for the financial system to support the EU's climate sustainable investment agenda. Latvian Dombrovskis is the EU Vice-President for the Euro and Social Dialogue, and also in charge of Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union.
